An entire week dedicated to your favorite ship from your favorite special filming series.

Guideline

What Counts as "Tokusatsu"?

TokuShipping Week welcomes content based on:

  • Japanese tokusatsu franchises, including Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, Ultraman, Metal Heroes, Godzilla, other kaiju-related works, and various other series, films, and franchises.

  • Tokusatsu media from any country of origin, including both adaptations and original works, such as Power Rangers, Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight, VR Troopers, Armor Hero (Kǎijiǎ Yǒngshì), Legend Hero Samgugjeon, Big Bad Beetleborgs, and others.

  • Series or films created within or directly tied to the tokusatsu tradition, such as Toei’s Spider-Man (Supaidāman), Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, Sukeban Deka, and others.

However, the event does not include anime or manga loosely inspired by tokusatsu. This means series like Go! Go! Loser Ranger! (Sentai Daishikkaku) or Love After World Domination (Koi wa Sekai Seifuku no Ato de) are not eligible.

For franchises where tokusatsu is the primary medium, ships from any media within that franchise are welcome (e.g., an Ultraman animated movie ship ✓). For franchises where tokusatsu is not the primary medium, only ships from the tokusatsu-specific media are eligible (e.g., Cutie Honey anime ships ✗)

What Kinds of Ships Are Welcome?

All ships are valid and welcome in this event, including but not limited to:

  • Any gender dynamic: m/f, f/f, m/m, queer, etc.

  • Any structure: monogamous, polyamorous, or otherwise

  • Any level of canon: from canon ships to the most crack, rare, crossover or unpopular pairings

  • OC x Canon and Self-Ships are welcome

As long as your ship is related to qualifying tokusatsu media, it's welcome here.

Fanwork Creation & Participation

  • Let your creativity run wild! Your fanwork can be in any format, including Fanfics | Fanarts | Headcanons | Playlists | Video Edits | Comics | Gifsets | Moodboard and more!

  • Your fanwork must include at least one of the official prompts for the day.

  • You can use one, two, or all three daily prompts if you wish.

  • You can interpret the prompts literally, loosely, or conceptually — whatever fits your imagination.

  • You can create a single, linear story (like a multi-chapter fic or comic) that uses the prompts from each day consecutively.

  • You may create for multiple ships throughout the week, either simultaneously or by dedicating different days to different pairings.

  • You can start working on your creations anytime, but please publish them during the official event dates.

  • You may post WIPs (Works in Progress), but only completed works will be reblogged/reposted by the event accounts. You can still use the event hashtags on your WIPs.

Content Policy & Creator Responsibility

  • There are no general content restrictions. You can create fanworks about any theme, as long as they fit the daily prompts.

  • Honest tagging is mandatory. Please tag your works accurately so people can make informed decisions about what to consume.

  • Curate your own experience. All social media platforms have blocking, muting, and filtering tools. Please use them to avoid ships, characters, or topics you dislike. Managing your online experience is your responsibility.

  • Deliberate mistagging with the intent to harass or upset others will result in a warning, a request for correction, and may lead to a ban from all event spaces.

Zero Tolerance Policy for Hate

This event will have a strict zero tolerance policy for:

  • Ship hate, no matter the ship or reason

  • Harassment or hostility toward other participants

You can report a fanwork that may be mistagged, as long as it's done respectfully. Please ensure that your (understandable) annoyance or anger does not turn into an attack against the other person.Anyone who encourages toxic behavior will be blocked from event spaces and disqualified from participating. Let’s keep the event fun and respectful for everyone!

NSFW content is allowed as part of the event. It will be shared only through separate, dedicated accounts on Tumblr and Twitter/X, and must always be clearly tagged. Further details and posting guidelines will be provided closer to the event.
